Arvigo Therapy®

The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy® is based on the ancient Mayan technique of abdominal massage. The Arvigo® Therapy is an external, non invasive manipulation that repositions internal organs that have shifted, thereby restricting the flow of blood, lymph, nerve and chi.

The Arvigo® Therapy addresses the position and health of the pelvic and abdominal organs. The work is best known for the correction of the prolapsed, fallen, or tilted uterus and for relief of many common digestive disorders.

The Arvigo® Therapy applies anatomy, physiology, herbology and naprapathy (study of the ligaments, joints and muscles) to the pelvic region. Dr. Rosita Arvigo, DN, developed these techniques after apprenticing with Don Elijio Panti, the last of the Traditional Maya Shaman in Central America, where she has lived for over 30 years.

The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy® combine modern science with traditional healing and wisdom to produce a holistic path to physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

The goal of Arvigo® Therapy is to help the uterus return to the natural position and to cleanse the uterus of old, stagnate blood. Some results can be a period that is much less painful, less bleeding, regular menstrual cycles.

For fertility issues the result of Arvigo® Therapy can be a uterus that is free of impinged fallopian tubes, natural ovulation, better quality eggs, increased thickness in uterine lining, and a cervix that may be more receptive to implantation.

The Arvigo® Therapy supports fertility treatments such as Clomid, IVF and IUI.  

This treatment is not recommended: 

• After ovulation if trying to conceive
• Immediately after abdominal surgery
• Where an active infection or cancer is present in the pelvic region.
• If an IUD is in place, most of the treatment can be performed, only the lower abdominal work is skipped.

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Certified Practitioner of  The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy®.  I became a Massage Therapist because of my grandmother who trained in massage and gave me treatments throughout my life. The name of my business was named for her.  

I graduated from The Utah College of Massage Therapy in 2003. I took the Arvigo® Professional Care Training right after I graduated and recently traveled to Belize for the Arvigo® Therapy Certification Training.  I am honored to say that Rosita Arvigo trained me, taught my certification course and tested me in the techniques.  

Our bodies are created to be self-regulating, self-healing, and self-repairing.  My approach to healing is to assist the body do what it was created to do.  My passion is to assist women heal issues in their wombs using the Arvigo® Therapy.

The lineage of Arvigo Therapy® is a sacred one.

 I am so grateful to be a part of this work.  I feel called to share it just like those before me were called.  I must give thanks to those who came before me, passed down and saved this sacred work.

Thank you to Don Elijio Panti who listened to the Maya Spirits so your vast knowledge could be saved and passed down. 

Don Elijio was the great Shamanic Healer of Belize who died in 1996.  He did not have an apprentice to pass down his work until he met Rosita.  Rosita kept her promise to Don Elijio and still resides in Belize serving the people there.

 Rosita also worked with other Maya healers and midwives to learn and grow her work.  I am grateful they were open to share their knowledge and wisdom, namely Miss Hortence Robinson, Miss Beatrice Waight, Miss Juana Shish, Mr. Martin Prechtel, Don Mai and Mr. Harry Guy.
